양자강을 막 떠나면서 교서 원대에게 부친다

 

五言古詩

 

淒淒去親愛(처처거친애), 쓸쓸하구나, 친하고 사랑스런 사람과의 이별은

泛泛入煙霧(범범입연무). 물에 떠서 물안개 속으로 들어가네

歸棹洛陽人(귀도낙양인), 낙양으로 노저어 가는 사람

殘鐘廣陵樹(잔종광능수). 광릉의 나무 사이로 들리는 새벽 종소리

今朝爲此別(금조위차별), 오늘 아침 이별하고

何處還相遇(하처환상우). 어느 곳에서 다시 만날까

世事波上舟(세사파상주), 세상 일은 물결 위의 배

沿洄安得住(연회안득주). 돌아 흐르는 물살에 어느 곳에 머물까

SETTING SAIL on THE YANGZI TO SECRETARY YUAN

 

Wistful, away from my friends and kin,

Through mist and fog I float and float

With the sail that bears me toward Loyang.

In Yangzhou trees linger bell-notes of evening,

Marking the day and the place of our parting....

When shall we meet again and where?

...Destiny is a boat on the waves,

Borne to and fro, beyond our will.
